Cost: $125.00 per person ($65.00 non-refundable deposit due at time of reservation.) Balance due by October 1st. Pay to Master, Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree.

Price includes bus trip, admission to the museum, and snacks on the bus. There will be time for some shopping and sightseeing.

We will be departing the Park and Ride on Hammonds Ferry Rd., Linthicum at

7 a.m. (Exit 8 off the 695 beltway across from Snyder’s Restaurant)

Arriving back home around 11 p.m.

7 June 2014 Navigator Seminar  St. Michael’s in Poplar Springs, 1125 Saint Michael's Road Mount Airy MD 21771.   Newly elected Navigator, Captain, Pilot, Admiral, and Comptroller.  The cost is $20.00 per person.  The meeting will begin at 9:00 AM.  We will have a lunch included and hope to wrap up the Seminar by 2:00 PM.  This is an important and informative meeting, and I strongly urge everyone’s attendance.  We will cover topics including protocol, forms, deadlines, responsibilities, and many more.

14 June 2014 Flag Day / 50th Anniversary of “under GOD” in the Pledge of Allegiance

21 June 2014   The Archdiocese of Baltimore will have a Priest Ordination on 21 June 2014 at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, 5200 N. Charles St, Baltimore 21210.  Color Corps and Ushers report by 9 AM (0900), Mass begins at 10 AM (1000).    Color Corps uniform is full regalia - Black Tuxedo, white tuxedo shirt with pleats (not ruffles) and straight collar (not wing tipped), black dress shoes, black socks, black bow tie, black cummerbund, white gloves, service baldric (worn over the jacket designed to hold the sword and scabbard), cape, chapeau, sword, combined national flag pin (PG-450 with the United States flag mounted above the emblem of the Fourth Degree), any miniature jewels that you are authorized to wear as outlined in the Knights of Columbus Color Corps Manual), and jewel of your current office.  Faithful Navigators and Faithful Color Corps Commanders are asked to provide District Marshal Dave Bellistri, the Worthy District Master, and I a count, by cape color, of how many Sir Knights from each of your Assemblies are expected to participate, by 18 June 2014.  Thank you.

 

21 June 2014    Ushers are also needed.  Their uniform will be Black Tuxedo, white tuxedo shirt with pleats (not ruffles) and straight collar (not wing tipped), black dress shoes, black socks, black bow tie, black cummerbund, white gloves, social baldric (worn under the jacket with garters affixed to your trousers in front and back), PG-113 (the emblem of the Fourth Degree), any miniature jewels that you are authorized to wear as outlined in the Knights of Columbus Color Corps Manual), and jewel of your current office.     The Supreme Chaplain (Archbishop Lori), Fr. Joseph Marcello, Secretary to Archbishop Lori, and Rev. Michael A. DeAscanis, Archdiocese Director of Vocations, were all very pleased with the way we did this last year.  I want to thank Maryland State Vocations Co-chairman, SK Jim Chachulski, of Christopher Columbus Assembly for coordinating this with the Archdiocese.  God bless you all.

31 August 2014  I would like to make you aware of a planned celebration of the 240th anniversary of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton's birth (August 28, 1774), which is being coordinated for  August 31 at the National Shrine of St Elizabeth Ann Seton, 339 S Seton Ave, Emmitsburg, MD 21727.  His Excellency William Lori, Archbishop of Baltimore and Supreme Chaplain, is tentatively scheduled to celebrate the Mass that day at the Shrine and we would very much like to have a strong CC presence there.
