John Reedy 90, of Gilbert, AZ. passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2007. He was a warm, caring, loving father and grandpa who remained thrilled with life and people to his very last days. He was funny and charming, and loved by all who knew him . .AJthough his wife Junie departed this world 34 years earlier, not a day went by that he didn't talk about her, never remarrying. He loved to ride motorcycles, starting a funeral escort business in New York in the 1940's. He also loved any daring and exciting new adventures, including parachute jumps, paras ailing and hunting. He was a great tap dancer and won a dancing contest at the age of 80. John, a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Regina Cieri Council 5133 will be remembered at a funeral Mass at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Tucson. He will be buried with full Knights of Columbus Honors next to his beloved wife. He served as Grand Knight in 1971 and 1972 and, after retirement continued his service as a member of the St. Martin de Porres Council 6848 before moving to Munds Park in 1982. He served as a Volunteer Fireman for 18 years in Munds Park before moving back to the Valley in 1999. John is survived by three daughters and one son; Sharon Brightbill and husband Bill of Tempe, James Reedy and wife Frances ofTucson, Mary Kathryn Brooks and husband John of Flagstaff and Milisa Hanson and husband Dale of Gilbert. He is also survived by 10 adoring grandchildren and 15 adoring great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held Monday, December 17, 2007 at Bring's Mortuary, 6910 E. Broadway in Tucson, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m ., followed by Mass at 1 :00 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. John will be interred at Holy Hope Cemetery. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in John's name to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ. 87014.
