REMINDER: 2012 Annual Dues are Late

Chuck Pauley, Financial Secretary, is currently collecting dues for the 2012 Year. If you haven't yet paid your dues, please contact Chuck to bring your dues current. ----------------------------------------- Update: Thursday, March 8, 2012 ATTENTION ALL KNIGHTS: Are you one of the 45 council members who have helped accrue a bill of $3,200.00 due to unpaid dues for a year or more. These dues must be sent to Supreme very soon and we will be forced to cut into funds we use for our service and charity projects to pay the delinquent bill you have accrued. There is no side step, drop out or cancellation option of the dues for the council! The council must pay for every member on our roles. Failure to pay your past due dues will seriously affect our ability to do the tasks we pledged in our 1st degree oath (Charity). Please contact our Financial Secretary (Chuck Pauley) ASAP if you have unpaid dues. He can be reached through the Officers List on this website. Alternatively, place your check (Made out to the Council) in the mail to him or return your envelope to Knights of Columbus mail box in the Church Office (Miller Center). Members with unpaid dues will not be able to run for any council positions for this next year. Also unpaid dues members should not wear their Knights of Columbus name badge until they are in good standing. YBIC Bill Carney Grand Knight Council 13470

UPDATE: Child Identification on February 26th

The Knights of Columbus Team provided ID kits with pictures, fingerprints, DNA swabs and basic identification information to the parents of 90 children. We know that if anything happens to one of these youngsters (heaven forbid), the parents can provide crucial information to authorities to help find and return the child. Handling the fingerprints was one of our own Knights/Police Officer, plus Chuck Black and Bret Dressel. Other team members included: Peter Goodman, Mike & Kelly Weckherlin, David Melcher, Dave Leferink, Carl Gant, Phil & Joyce Hoffman, Ric Brinckman, Jim Irwin, Linda King, Gail Carney, Diane Campos, Tony Sandoval and Connie & Eddie Moncidallis. Your generous contribution of time and talent served our community well and personally makes me proud to be a small part of our Knights Family and St. Joseph Catholic Community. This is a program we should look to expand and maybe share with our neighboring Christian brothers on Green Oaks Blvd, as a community service project. In sincere appreciation for a job extremely well done, Bill Carney Grand Knight

Christmas baskets were filled with food (Turkeys) and a Nativity set with a booklet written in both English and Spanish. Update 1/3/12 - Taylor Anderle had her surgery on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 and it was very successful. In fact, the doctors are very optimistic about her recovery. The better news is that she is recovering so well that they will be home for Christmas. Please keep them in your prayers as she still has some recovery to do and it will be several months before they actually know the final outcome but, as the doctors said, they are very pleased with the surgery. Just thought I'd pass that on to you all. Update 1/6/12 - Everything went well. The surgery took 5-1/2 hours in 10 different spots on her head. The doctor was excited and stated he thinks has her fixed. She has had a couple of headaches since, but they go away. He said this could happen for the next 9-12 months. Taylor is going back to Houston on Jan 9th for another post-op checkup. Thank you for all your help and prayers. WGK Bill Carney
