BINGO FRIDAY NIGHT - 26 JANUARY

Last Bingo in January Friday 26th in Seelos Hall at SJN.  Weather looks great.  Doors open at 5pm and bingo starts at 7pm.  We have food,snacks and drinks for sale.  Extra games of Smokin Hots and Holdems will be sold on the floor.  Every Friday we have our final game $500 payoff.  Hope to see you there.

 

NOTE WE WILL NOT HAVE BINGO ON FRIDAY FEBRUARY 2nd nor February 23rd.  We will have bingo on Feb 9th and 16th.

Basketball Shoot Out February 11

Annapolis Knights of Columbus will hold their annual Youth Basketball Free Throw on Sunday, Feb. 11 1-2:30.  Tie-breakers and award presentations will be held 2:30-3:00.  This is a free community event open to girls and boys ages 7-14.  All participants will receive free pizza lunch and snack.  For questions and additional info please see the Annapolis Knights of Columbus FaceBook page or website.

2018 Ristaino Scholarship Application Available - English

Brothers,

The 2018 Ristaino Scholarship applications, in both English and Spanish are available.  The English version application is attached - NOTE the Application deadline is March 6.

Total Awards will consist of up to 4 awards between $1000 and $1500 for grades 1-12.

Applicants must be a child or grandchild of a Knights of Columbus Third Degree member of Annapolis Council #1384, and must be in good standing relative to paid-up dues.

Applicants must be attending or planning to attend an accredited Catholic school in the area. Scholarship awards are for tuition only and for the 2018-19 academic year. Application may be submitted for subsequent years but there is no guarantee of renewal of the award. A key factor in the evaluation of scholarship candidates will be the sponsor’s participation in Annapolis Council activities over the past year. Awards will also be based upon academic excellence, personal qualifications, and financial need. In the area of personal qualifications, overall community service and support for the church from the applicant and applicant’s family over the past year will be a factor in the award evaluation. The applicant should submit an essay; the topic is “What a Catholic Education Means to Me.”

ELEGIBLILIDAD

Los premios consistirán en: 1) Dos premios de $1,000 para los grados del 1-8 de Primaria. 2) Dos premios de $1,500 para los grados del 9-12 de Secundaria. Los solicitantes deben tener un hijo o nieto de un miembro de Caballeros de Colón de Tercer Grado en el Consejo 1384 de Annapolis, y deben estar en buenos términos con respecto a sus pagos y membresia anual.

Los solicitantes deben asistir o planear en asistir a una escuela católica acreditada en la zona. Las becas son sólo para la matrícula y para el año académico 2018-19. La misma aplicación puede ser presentada para los años siguientes, pero no hay garantía de la renovación a la concesión vigente. Un factor clave en la evaluación de los candidatos para la beca, será la participación del patrocinador en las actividades del Consejo de Annapolis en el último año. Los premios también se basan en la excelencia académica y la necesidad financiera.
En el área de cualificaciones personales, se vera el servicio a la comunidad en general, el apoyo a la iglesia por parte de la familia de l solicitante durante el año pasado, esta area sera un factor importante en la evaluación del premio.
El solicitante tambien debe presentar un ensayo; con el tema "QUE SIGNIFICA LA EDUCACION CATOLICA PARA MI."
