Robert H. Clark Memorial Scholarship
Attached is an application for the Robert H. Clark Memorial Scholarship sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, Council 7612, Eldersburg, MD. This scholarship honors the memory of Robert H. Clark, a longtime educator in Maryland public schools and a member of Council 7612.
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must be a high school senior who is one of the following: a) a student at South Carroll, Liberty, or Century High School, b) a student who lives within the boundaries of those schools, c) is a member of St Joseph’s Catholic Community, or d) is the child of a member or deceased member of Council 7612.
Applicants must ultimately be accepted for full time study at a four-year accredited college or university. The scholarship is awarded in an amount of $2,500 annually, for a total of $10,000 over a four-year period. It is renewable annually upon presentation of evidence of maintaining a 2.75 grade point average. The failure to maintain this grade point average will result in the loss of the scholarship. The award is made payable to the college or university for payment of tuition and fees.
In selecting the scholarship recipient, we will consider academic performance in high school, community activities and two essays. We may also require an interview, and if so, the interview will be considered in the selection process. All applicants will be notified of our selection by May 15th.
Please return the completed application and a transcript of your high school grades and SAT scores to the address above, postmarked on or before March 31st.
