JOSEPH MINOTTO JR., 89 Joseph Minotto Jr., 89, formerly of 3140 New Butler Road, New Castle, passed away the evening of July 4, 2014 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. Joseph was born in Douglasville, PA on April 10, 1925. He was the son of the late Joseph and Cecilia Minotto Sr. He was married to the former Edith Swoyer. She preceded him in death. They were married for 53 wonderful years. Following high school, Joseph enlisted in the United State Army. He was a World War II Veteran. Joseph was involved in the D-Day Invasion. He earned the rank of radio operator. Mr. Minotto retired after 45 years of service as a supervisor at the Kawecki Chemical Company in Boyertown, PA. Joseph was a member of the American Legion, VFW, the Knight of Columbus, and St. Gabriels Lodge in Stowe, PA. Joseph is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Cecilia "Ceci" (William) Braho of New Castle; three brothers, Anthony, Augustus and Eugene Minotto, all of Pottstown, PA; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife Edith, Joseph was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Minotto III, and numerous brothers and sisters. According to his wishes there will be no calling hours or service. Local arrangements were entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill Street, New Castle, PA 16101.
