Joe is the driving force behind the Parish's ability to hold Community Weekends once a month. He helps with setup, cleanup and restocking of food and drink items between masses.
Glenn is a constant champion for the Culture of Life and this month we recognize his efforts in this year's successful Baby Bottle campaign.
In recognition of Matt's efforts as Council Warden, organization of a very successful Breakfast with St. Nick, and continuing in learning the Warden role as part of the Admissions Degree Team.
Bill continues to have his fingerprints on nearly every council event and activity. From his ongoing support of 40 Days for Life, monthly Lecturer sessions at the business meetings, support with the Tootsie Roll Program, and serving as a solid leader by example.
Bill's coordination with the renovation efforts at Dick Tymoch's house, along with his efforts throughout the church deserve a ton of thanks and recognition. Over 100 hours of service by over 20 knights were put in to clean up and provide some renovation at Dick Tymoch's house.
Paul could be nominated almost every month of the year, but a special recognition for selling out at our first chicken dinners of the fraternal year. He has been the lifeblood of our fundraising events which has allowed us to provide the financial support we do to the Parish and community.
Don really stepped things up in August between taking over as Community Program Chair, successfully leading a SWAT road clean up, and providing MASSIVE support with the Parish Picnic between setup, grilling, and cleanup.
In recognition for his service to those in sick and distress, providing valuable service through visitations to hospitals and home bound.
In recognition of stepping up just months into his first year as a knight into the Worthy Recorder position.
Andy has taken on the role as co-chair of this year's Field of Honor put on by our Assembly and been a very active DGK within the council providing assistance at many activities ranging from Lenten Fish Fry, Chicken Dinners, Secretary of the Council Charity Fund, and Frederick Rescue Mission. Lara is active within the Parish and American Heritage Girls along with their daughter Eve. They were a key contributor to the Boxes of Joy put together back in December
Matt Lenz has been involved in the council in various officer positions over the last several years in addition to being our Youth Director. He has been instrumental in the successes behind our yearly Breakfast with St. Nick and Easter Egg Hunt. In addition, his wife and kids provide support in purchasing the Easter Egg Hunt supplies, assembling and hiding the eggs, and Carter, his older son, also dresses as the Easter bunny. His family also provides support in handing out Marigolds for Mother's Day. His sons are active in Parish youth activities including with stations of the cross during Good Friday.
Richard "Dick" Tymoch and Rosanne are longtime parishioners of the church and also longtime members of the Knights of Columbus and Ladies Auxiliary, in addition to providing lectoring and EU services during masses. Dick has been an important voice in the Council and Assembly on behalf of Veterans and Culture of Life issues. Rosanne has served multiple times as the Ladies Auxiliary President and is very involved in the weekly desserts being served at the Fish Fry.
In addition to their hospitality for the SB party, Randy and Claudia are a constant presence in the Parish as EU. Randy also participates in the Council Book Club and is an officer in the Assembly.
Tom and Barb are both very active members of the parish, participating in choir / cantering, as well as in the Council and Ladies Auxiliary. Tom is a Trustee, PGK, Council Program Chair, and heads up the Softball and Golf Leagues as well as provides a lot of kitchen support at council events requiring cooking. Barb helps coordinate a lot of the Ladies Auxiliary events and was a key members of the Breakfast with St. Nick Secret Santa Shop. Their kids also assisted with the Secret Santa shop and handing out gifts to the kids with St. Nick.
John has been a member of our council since 2015 since he and his family moved from Pittsburgh. He serves as a Catechist for 9th graders, Lectors at 10am Mass and along with his wife, teach K/1 on Sundays and serve as EU. He served as permit / field coordinator for the FoH last year and will be assisting as co-chair in 2018. His oldest son Conor is also a knight and is in his first year of Seminary at CUA and JPII and his two younger kids are active as altar servers and assistants with Sunday morning faith formation classes. His oldest daughter Emily was also very active in the Parish before heading off to college.
Larry and Jeri are both very active members of not only the Parish, but of the Knights and Friendly Circle respectively. Larry have been very involved in events, especially SWAT road clean up and the Parish Picnic during August. Jeri has been a dedicated LA member. Between her involvement with the Urbana Food Bank, Chicken Casseroles over the summer for Our Daily Bread, and other critical Auxiliary needs, her activity has been vital to the church and organization.
In recognition of the hard work done by the Ellis family for the church and council, especially for son Garrett who is Chief Squire for FY 2017-2018.
