Continued Prayers for Those Impacted by Hurricane Harvey/Irma/Maria

O God, hear the humble voices of your children. The Sea of Galilee obeyed your order and returned to its former quietude; you are still the Master of land and sea. During this hurricane, we turn to You, O loving Father. Spare those affected by this storm from further tragedy and comfort them in their time of need. Grant them protection and shelter and peace of heart. Additionally, help us all, as Brothers and Sister through you, our Eternal Father, to stand ready to example true Charity through our service and Works of Mercy. Help us to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, harbor the homeless, visit the sick, ransom the captive and bury the dead.

The Victims of the Las Vegas Shooting

Lord of all, Master of both the light and the dark, Master of those saintly and of those wicked, we pray for Your mercy and compassion. We live in troubled times, and the answers to our problems are not simple or easy. Send Your Spirit upon us all to strengthen our resolve to root out the violence, hate, and fear in our lives.

Replace it with Your forbearance and love. Create in us hearts of courage, and grace us with the ability to stand against the violence of our day: the violence in ourselves, our homes, our streets and our communities. In your name we pray, Amen.
