Knights of Columbus
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Council 10678, Crystal Lake, IL
The St. Elizabeth Ann Seton statue seen here was a Knights of Columbus gift to our parish. Our pastor at the time was, Msgr. Dempsey, had wished to replace the existing statue that was at the church entrance. The old statue was weather beaten and was in need of replacement. After some research we could not find a statue that would be suitable.
I became aware of a manufacturer in Chicago that would custom make an ideal replacement. The K/C contracted this manufacturer to create a mold, to then be able to create this statue. Our original cost to sculpt a model, create a mold and finally a first casting was over $6,000. The Knights of Columbus now own the mold. However we are now able to make replicas of the statue.
A copy of the statue is available for $1,295, plus shipping. The statue is made of a resin and painted to look like stone. Other paint options are available. It is weather resistant and can be mounted on a base by a threaded rod, or if indoors it can be place on a flat surface. The statue is approx. 50” high and is about 60 lbs, It can easily be moved by two people. Shipping to most states is under $175, or it can be picked up in the Chicago area if convenient.
