Annual Dues Payment Details
Brother Knights -
Again this year we are making this online payment option available for the annual statements.
Thank you for your continued support through prayers, event participation and membership dues. Our council plans to donate over $70,000 to worthy causes this fraternal year, and your dues and donations play a large part in helping us meet the many financial support needs in our parish and local community.
There has been no increase in membership dues. Dues are $50 per member when paid after December 31, 2017.
As in past years, you have the opportunity to participate in the Support Our Seminarians (SOS) fund drive and to support Gibault Children's Services. Recommended donations are $5.00 for each program.
In addition, you may purchase a Knights of Columbus name badge for your Lady to wear when working alongside us at our activities and events. Cost is $6.00 for a badge.
Please make your selection separately for each item below and then click "Add to Cart" for each. A new page will appear showing the item in your shopping cart. From there, you can click "Continue Shopping" in the upper right corner of the page to return here to add more items. You can proceed to "CHECKOUT" at any time.
Once you have made your selections above and clicked each "Add to Cart" button as appropriate, click "View Cart" below. You will be taken to the PayPal secure checkout page where you will be prompted to use a credit card or an existing PayPal account. You are not required to create a PayPal account, but there is no fee for doing so.
There are no fees to you to use this service. The council pays a small service charge for each PayPal transaction in order to provide this convenient choice for our Brother Knights.

Our New 4th Degree Sir Knights!
We're excited to announce that we have new Sir Knight members of Council 11044 who took the Patriotic oath of the Fourth Degree on February 3rd at St Alphonso parish in Zionsville. There was a total of 97 Knights from throughout Indiana who took the oath that day. It was a great turnout for the new 4th Degree Exemplification.

Admission & Mentoring Committee Formed
Deputy Grand Knight Andy Gothreau and Chancellor Matt Van Dyke have worked together to form the Admission and Mentoring Committee which will work in close coordination to perform the admissions process and make a smooth transition to the assignment of a mentor to our new First Degree Members.
A new candidate will be contacted by a member of the Admission and Mentoring Committee soon after receipt of their Form 100. The candidate will receive important information about our council and our leadership, programs, committees, activities, events, and meetings, and the date/location of the their First Degree Ceremony. The candidate will also have the opportunity to get all of their questions answered. If possible, the same Admission and Mentoring Committee member will become the candidates Mentor for the first six months, or a new Mentor will be assigned.

Aprons for Tootsie Roll Drive
Aprons that help members solicit donations during the annual Tootsie Roll Drive (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Campaign) are purchased from a company in Illinois. The form can be found on the Indiana Knights of Columbus website under "Forms".

Tax Exemption Certificate for Council Purchases
Members All -
Please use the council's "Tax Exemption Certificate" (click on the link above to download) that exempts us from being charged Sales Taxes whenever you make purchases for any council activities, events, or council administrative expenses. That is, ANYTHING you purchase for council purposes!

New Charitable Request Form Available
The new "Charitable Request Form" is now available. Please select the link for the file to get started.
This new form was created as a "fillable" PDF form. Here are the 5 simple steps to follow to complete and submit your Charitable Request to the Council's Trustees:
- Click the link for the form and download it to your computer.
- Open the form on your computer.
- Complete the form with as much information as possible.
- Save the file to your computer. (You may want to rename by using "Save As" to a filename that helps you know better what it is, e.g., OConnor House Request 7 Jul 2017.pdf)
- Open your email and create an email to the Council's Trustees (email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com), attach your Charitable Request file, and hit "Send".

Form 100 Document You Can Complete "Online"
The Form 100 application for new members of the Knights of Columbus is now available in a PDF form that you can fill in online and print for signature by the potential new member and the "sponsor".
This new form can be selected using the link at the top of this article.
It can also be found in the "Council Documents" in the "Members Only" area of the website.
Please submit requests 7 days in advance of the Business Meeting
As agreed by the Officers and council members, it is a new requirement that any member who wishes to have time on the agenda for the Business Meeting to discuss a topic or make an announcement, must submit a request to the Grand Knight seven (7) days in advance of the Business Meeting. Please email the Grand Knight at email@example.com.
This new requirement has been put in place in order to satisfy the following objectives/desires for our Business Meetings:
- Be focused primarily on our upcoming activities and events in the next 60 days – to provide understanding well in advance of the events; generate excitement; and improve involvement.
- Have our meetings run efficiently and effectively – focused on the “business” of the council.
- Not have the Grand Knight, or Officers, or members “surprised” or “caught off guard” by topics/issues raised by speakers, thus causing disruption/delays in the meeting; or, as in the past, arguments/ill will among members - not befitting the brotherhood we wish to exemplify and enjoy with one another.
All members continue to be encouraged to share their opinions and ideas at each meeting. We need this to occur in order to have more opportunity for improvement.
Please note: Members who wish to share information with the council outside of the scope of the "upcoming events in the next 60 days" can be submitted to one of the Officers for communication to the members via email.

Support the Race for Vocations - May 5th 2018
The Knights of Columbus Indiana State Council asks all Councils to participate and support the "Race for Vocations on May 5th 2018"
- Involve young men, women, and families
- Raise money for Support Our Seminarians (SOS)
- Support seminarians (RSVP)
- Promote cooperation among Indiana Dioceses (Unity)
- Make the Knights of Columbus visible at a very large public event - over 30,000 runners in 2017
The Race for Vocations welcomes people of all ages to run/walk in the Annual Mini Marathon or 5K to both promote and pray for vocations to the priesthood, consecrated life, sacred married life and sacred single life. The Race for Vocations takes place within the One America Festival Mini Marathon and 5K the first Saturday of May each year in Indianapolis.
The Race for Vocations is a great way to support, pray for and promote vocations across the State of Indiana!

9th Annual KofC March for Life - January 17-20, 2018
Join your fellow Knights in the 9th Annual March for Life
in Washington, DC from January 17th through 20th.

Details are included below:
Wednesday, January 17
Depart from one of our locations throughout the State, approximately 8:00 pm. Leaving on tour bus. There will be several stops along the way.
Thursday, January 18
Arrive in Washington approximately 10:00 am; tour the DC mall for 2 or 3 hours, proceed to hotel. Leave for the National Shrine of Immaculate Conception, or Saint John Paul II museum for free time. Return to hotel.
Friday, January 19
Breakfast at the hotel, board bus, proceed to Rally, join the March when it begins, then return to hotel, proceed to banquet.
Saturday, January 20
Breakfast at the hotel, board buses and head home, arriving about 8 pm.
- Round-trip on touring bus, Rally and March, hotel for 2 nights, Double-occupancy
- 2 Full Breakfasts
- Box Lunch for the March
- Friday Night Banquet & Celebration
- Unbelievable feeling of satisfaction to have participated
New Officers Meet to Prepare to Kick Off Fraternal Year
On Thursday, June 29th, the Officers for the new 2017-18 fraternal year met to discuss the council's programs, committees, and calendar of events. There are still many open positions for program directors and committee leaders, and the officers are eager to get members to volunteer for these positions as well as being members of their selected activities.
